This room is for prayer and reflection.
Please take a few minutes to remember and honor those we have lost and to pray for everyone who has been affected by this horrible tragedy.
Let us pray…
Lord Jesus Christ, we pray for everyone who is in pain because of the tragedy.
Comfort them Lord Jesus; ease their pain.
Provide them with hope. Give them strength, Lord.
We pray for the family members of those who lost loved ones. Their losses are unimaginable. And we stand with them in their time of need.
Shine your love upon them, Lord Jesus.
Help them heal.
Send the angels to them, Lord, to comfort them, to protect them, and to help them through this difficult time.
We pray for the students and faculty at Virginia Tech.
Lord this magnificent school and these magnificent people need your help and guidance.
Stand with them. Walk with them. Heal them.
We pray that all of the students and faculty members receive the help that they need.
Lord, we pray for the angels we lost on that day. They are with you now, Lord Jesus.
They are the greatest angels in Heaven.
Grant them eternal rest in your Paradise, Lord.
We miss them very much. We love them very much.
Lord, let their spirits live on in all of us, so we may carry on their work, their hopes, their dreams, and their love.
Jesus Christ, you are our Lord and Savior..
Help us heal.
Inspirational thoughts of prayer for comfort, for wisdom, and for hope.
The wings of prayer carry high and far.
God dwells where we let God in.
Courage is not afraid to weep, and she is not afraid to pray, even when she is not sure who she is praying to.
-J. Ruth Gendler
The deepest wishes of the heart find expression in secret prayer.
-George E. Rees
Prayer is a cry of distress, a demand for help, a hymn of love.
-Dr. Alexis Carrel
God’s chief gift to those who seek him is Himself.
When you go to your knees, God will help you stand up to anything.
Prayer has marked the trees across the wilderness of a skeptical world to direct the traveler in distress, and all paths lead to a single light.
Prayer enlarges the heart until it is capable of containing God’s gift of Himself.
Prayer is a kind of calling home every day. And there can come to you a serenity, a feeling of at-homeness in God’s universe, a peace that the world can neither give nor disturb, a fresh courage, a new insight, a holy boldness that you’ll never, never get any other way.
-Earl G. Hunt, Jr.
The greatest answer to prayer is that I am brought into a perfect understanding with God, and that alters my view of actual things.
If we pray for anything according to the will of God, we already have what we pray for the moment we ask for it. We do not know exactly when it will arrive; but we have learned to know God through the Spirit of God, and have learned to leave this in His hands, and to live just as happily whether the answer when it will benefit us and His cause the most.
Prayer is the voice of faith.-
Please take a moment and say your own pray for...
the angels we lost.
their family members.
the students of Virginia Tech.
the faculty of Virginia Tech.
everyone who is hurting because of the tragedy.
those who are depressed because of the tragedy.
those who are suicidal because of the tragedy.
And now please say a prayer for any special intention that you may have.
Please keep all those who were affected by this horrible tragedy in your thoughts and prayers.
