Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine has declared today a day of mourning, and students and friends of Virginia Tech are being asked to wear the university’s colors – Chicago maroon and burnt orange.
At noon, a memorial gathering will be held at the university that will include several sperkers, a reading of the names, a bell-ringing ceremony, and a moment of silence.
Many other ceremonies and church services will be held throughout the country as we all come together to honor those we lost and to express our strong love and support for the Virginia Tech community.
God bless everyone who is in pain because of the tragedy.
We love you.
We support you.
And we stand united with you.
God bless Virginia Tech.
